Undergraduate Physics Jobs

Undergraduate physics majors and students from other departments have ongoing opportunities to participate in the experimental and theoretical research projects in the physics department. Half of the Physics majors that have completed the first year physics course are currently participating in research projects throughout the department. One line project description: BUILDING DETECTOR ARRAY FOR NEUTRON TIME OF FLIGHT EXPERIMENTS. 6-10 HOURS PER WEEK. STARTING NOW UNTIL MAYBE THROUGH THE SUMMER. Modeling real materials with molecular dynamics simulations Work with data from IMAGE satellite that images the Earth's magnetosphere for the first time. Student to do research into the motion of anti-Hydrogen in a magnetic field to model experiment at CERN.
